Past Events

Music in the Schools was started in 2007 by Lincoln High School senior Dash Robb as a way to raise money for PPS music programs.  The event raised over $7,000 that first year, but more importantly it raised awareness for the cause.  In 2008, Gali Slayen organized the second of what would become an annual event.  Now in its third year, Music in the Schools has raised over $30,000 and counting.  PDX Music in the Schools leadership has been taken over by an organizational committee of high school students from across the district, who work outside of school and during the summer to host the benefit concerts.

PDX Music in the Schools has been fortunate enough to book some awesome, exciting local bands for past events.  To see the lineups from our previous concerts, read below.  And remember to check back for more info on our fall benefit concert.
